What 2IA will do with a documented request
A correction fixes a material error. A right of reply adds relevant, attributed context without transferring editorial control to the subject of a report.
Review the supplied record
2IA will compare the request with the cited page, the existing source chain, and any stronger record supplied by the requester.
Choose the correct public action
A material error may require a correction. Later information may require an update. Ambiguous but accurate wording may require clarification. A disputed interpretation may warrant an attributed reply.
Limit unnecessary exposure
Private submission details are not published merely because they were provided. Public repair should disclose only what readers need to understand the change.
